About”  page.

I’m currently updating information on the National Wing-T Camps run by Tom Herman and Dave McDonald. Schedule, format, play installation, contact information, and more. I’ve attended the Trine camp five times, having coached at the camp twice. I’ve also attended the Edinboro camp three times. If you have any questions that you’d like to ask me, rather than Tom, email me at wingtcoach.com@gmail.com. I’ll be happy to share my experiences.

Visitors: What do you want? I mean that in a nice way. New visitors often visit several pages, and that tells me that they are more than a little interested in the Wing-T. As you browse the website, what did you NOT find? Let me know and I’ll try to help you out.

With a lot of help from a buddy, I have put together a “Coach Registry.” Check out the map with over thirty-five coaches already listed. Mouse over the “Resources” button above and then click “Registry.”

Why the Wing-T?

Chances are, you like the Wing-T. You know of a successful program that runs the offense, or you attended a clinic where the topic intrigued you, or maybe you’ve just “heard” that it is a good offense to utilize when you have undersized players. In any case, you have come to my website looking for something. If you are thinking about switching your own offense to the Wing-T, then I hope to fully convince you of its merits.

I intend for this website to help you understand the offense, see how to use this offense, and learn how to install the offense. Other key ideas are listed below:

  • Why is it effective?
  • How can you adapt it to your personnel?
  • What are the keys to play calling, and how can you “set up” the defense?
  • How can you run the one system and still adapt it each and every season to the varying levels of talent in your program?
  • Maybe most importantly, how do you actually install it? (I believe that many coaches see the potential of the Wing-T, but don’t really know how to install it. You have to prep your assistant coaches, and especially YOURSELF.)

I do not have any DVDs for sale, and I do not have any state championship rings. I am not an expert, but I have spent a lot of time studying what the experts say/do. I can actually help you.
